81 countries intend to visit International Military-Technical Forum, Defense Minister says
According to the Minister, over 180 scientific and business events on military building, development of domestic defense industry and international military cooperation are planned within the forum
MOSCOW, August 3. /TASS/. Military representatives of 81 countries have expressed their desire to visit the International Military-Technical Forum that will take place in the Moscow Region in late August, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced Tuesday.
"As of today, 81 defense agencies have expressed their desire to visit the event," he said. "According to preliminary applications, over 1,500 enterprises and organizations will participate with over 20,000 products."
According to the Minister, over 180 scientific and business events on military building, development of domestic defense industry and international military cooperation are planned within the forum.
This year, the forum will be synchronized with the International Army Games.
"All stages of the Army Games and the forum operations are planned in compliance with the appropriate sanitary and epidemiological requirements, and the competitors have been vaccinated against the coronavirus infections. Today, we will discuss what remains to be done to ensure the upcoming events run at a high level," Shoigu concluded.
