Three Russian ships enter Arabian Sea for Aman-2021 exercise

Russia is participating in the exercise at the invitation of Pakistan

MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. A group of Russian naval ships has entered the Arabian Sea for the Aman-2021 exercise, the Russian Defense Ministry told the media on Monday.

The frigate The Admiral Grigorovich, patrol ship The Dmitry Rogachyov and salvage tug SB-739, alongside ships from other participating countries will spend two days practicing cooperation in repelling attacks by fast small targets and perform joint maneuvers.

Also, the participants in the exercise will carry out joint measures against piracy, search operations and firing with different sets of onboard artillery weapons against a Killer Tomato surface target at a distance of about five kilometers.

Russia is participating in the exercise at the invitation of Pakistan. The drills will last till February 16.

Aman-2021 is a non-bloc exercise. All countries take part in it on their own.
