Su-30SM fighter jets purchased by Armenia to be stationed at Erebuni air base — source
Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan earlier told TASS that first fighter jets will be delivered to Armenia by the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020
MOSCOW, April 26. /TASS/. Multirole fighter jets Su-30SM purchased from Russia by Armenia will be stationed at the Erebuni air base, a source at the air base told TASS on Friday.
"Su-30SM fighter jets, which Armenia plans to purchase from Russia, will be stationed at the Erebuni air base. The jets will be serviced at the same air base by Russian specialists," the source said.
Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan earlier told TASS that first fighter jets will be delivered to Armenia by the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020. Amrenia purchased four Russian fighter jets of the 4++ generation. First money transfers for aircraft have already been received by Russia.
Su-30SM is a twin-engine, two-seat supermaneuverable fighter jet of the 4++ generation.
