MOSCOW, April 19. /TASS/. Russian Central Military District’s Buk-M2 missile systems stationed in the Penza Region trained combat launches at the Kapustin Yar rocket launch and development site in the Astrakhan Region, the statement issued by the press service for the Central Military District on Friday says.
The drills featured around 500 servicemen and more than 100 military and specialized vehicles. The live fire exercise was conducted both during the day and at night in the difficult environment for using radiolocation devices. "The systems … eliminated numerous, highly-maneuverable air targets of the simulated enemy in the different echelons, up to 50 km away from each other," the statement reads.
