Russia's Pacific Fleet naval aviation pilots practice in the Arctic

The exercises were aimed at improving the naval aviation skills in adverse weather conditions
MOSCOW, April 18. /TASS/. Crews of Il-38 planes of Russia’s Pacific Fleet practiced searching and tracking submarines in the Arctic region, the Eastern Military District’s press service said on Thursday.
"During a tactical flight exercise in the Kamchatka region, the Il-38 anti-submarine squadron of the naval aviation practiced tasks to detect and track submarines of a simulated enemy in the Arctic zone," the press service’s Pacific Fleet department said in a statement.
The exercises were held above the Arctic Ocean and were aimed at improving the naval aviation skills in adverse weather conditions.
