MAKS-2019 will be the first show held in the new format
MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. China will act as a partner country for the XIV International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS-2019), which will be held in Zhukovsky in the Moscow Region from August 27 to September 1, 2019, the press service of MAKS-2019 organizer Aviasalon reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the Chinese side has completed the necessary internal procedures and announced its consent to act as a partner of MAKS-2019.
In the near future, a delegation of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will hold talks in Moscow with the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade on preparations for the air show. The parties will discuss participation of Chinese companies, the layout of a joint Russian-Chinese wide-body CR929 long-range aircraft and other issues of cooperation between the countries in the aviation sector.
The agreement on China’s role as a partner country of MAKS-2019 was reached during the negotiations held in the framework of the 3rd meeting of the Russian and Chinese Sub-Committee for cooperation in the field of industry. "MAKS-2019 will be the first salon held in the new format. The participation of China in the status of a partner country air show is timed to the celebration this year of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia," Aviasalon said earlier.
