ANKARA, February 11. /TASS/. Talks of Russia and Turkey on Syria will help to achieve peace and stability in the region, Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar said as he met with Russian counterpart Sergey Shoigu in Ankara on Monday.

"Our contacts with Russia that we maintain at all possible levels will make a substantial contribution to peace and stability in the region. They are also aimed at protecting the rights and interests of the two countries," Hulusi Akar said.
