BK-16 boats are designed for operations in coastal areas, the estuaries of rivers and lakes, and also for transporting personnel and landing marines onto the rough terrain, providing fire support, fighting terrorism and piracy.
The BK-16 transportation and amphibious assault boat can be armed with four 7.62mm machine-guns combined with the combat module, two 12.7 mm machine-guns or a 40mm grenade launcher. The boat can develop a maximum speed of 42 knots and has a crew of two. It can accommodate the 19-strong assault force.
Depending on the customer’s requirements, the Kalashnikov Group is ready to continue its work on various versions of the boat tailored for specific tasks.
