Missile defense systems destroy 'enemy' targets at drills in Russia's south
Missile defense systems Buk-M2 and S-300PS have carried out over 10 imitation launches over the course of the drills
ROSTOV-ON-DON, January 10. /TASS/. Missile defense systems Buk-M2 and S-300PS have repelled a massive airstrike by an "enemy" during military drills in Russia's southern Krasnodar Region, the press service of the Southern Military District said on Thursday.
"During the drills, all targets were located in time. They were then followed and destroyed by strikes upon entering the farther boundary of the systems' range," the press service said.
The "enemy" was represented by Sy-30SM fighter jets, Su-25SM jets and Mi-8AMTSh helicopters, as they entered the airspace from different directions and at different altitudes.
Missile defense systems Buk-M2 and S-300PS have carried out over 10 imitation launches over the course of the drills.
Twenty units of military equipment were used in the exercise.
