Russian Ground Forces receive over 10,000 units of modern weapons, equipment

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. More than 10,000 units of modern weapons and equipment have been received by the Russian Ground Forces over the last years, the Russian Defense Ministry's official newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda" (Red Star) reported on Tuesday.
"The development of the Ground Forces has reached a new level, which serves as the basis for creating cross-branch groups of conventional forces. The share of modern weapons and military equipment in the Ground Forces has grown from 15 to 45.8% over the last years, more than 10,000 units of modern weapons and equipment has been received by the Ground Forces," the newspaper said.
According to the newspaper, the military capabilities of the Ground Forces to inflict fire damage on an enemy have increased by 45%, unit survavability - by 30%, and maneuver capabilities - by 1.5 times.
"Weapons trials continue at unified platforms Armata, Kurganets, Bumerang, Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled howitzers. It is worth noting that Ratnik-2 military equipment has been received by the Ground Forces, which ensures the high level of personnel protection. At the same time, the Ratnik-3 equipment system with even more advanced characteristics is being actively developed," the newspaper said.
