Russian Pacific Fleet's ships open for guests in Chinese port Qingdao
The visit of the Russian ships to Qingdao will continue until October 25
VLADIVOSTOK, October 23. /TASS/. Russian Pacific Fleet's ship currently visiting the Chinese port of Qingdao have opened access to local residents, the fleet's official spokesman Captain 2nd Rank Nikolay Voskresensky told reporters on Tuesday.
"The visit of the ships of the Russian Pacific Fleet to the Chinese port of Qingdao continues. Among them are the Pacific Fleet's flagship Varyag cruiser, the Admiral Panteleyev destroyer and the Boris Butoma replenishment vessel. In accordance with the program of the visit, the ships of the Pacific Fleet are open today for local residents and guests of the city of Qingdao," Voskresensky said.
A special ship tour was developed for the guests, and the crew's officers will work as tour guides.
Russian and Chinese sailors earlier visited each other's military ships. The visit of the Russian ships to Qingdao will continue until October 25.
Russian Pacific Fleet's ships have started their three-month voyage from Vladivostok on October 1. Over this time, they held several drills and trainings at sea and visited ports in Japan and South Korea.
