Russian Navy to accept 19 new warships for service by yearend

The Navy has already received 12 warships and combat boats since the beginning of this year

ST. PETERSBURG, July 10. /TASS/. The Russian Navy will take the delivery of 19 new warships by the end of the year, Navy Deputy Commander-in-Chief Vice-Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov said at a press conference at the TASS Regional Information Center in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.

"Until the end of the year, we are going to accept another 19 warships," the vice-admiral said at a press conference devoted to the preparations for the Main Naval Parade.

The Russian Navy has already received 12 warships and combat boats since the beginning of this year, the vice-admiral noted.

The Main Naval Parade will be held on Russia’s Navy Day on July 29 in St. Petersburg. The parade will involve warships and vessels of all the Russian Navy’s fleets: the Baltic, Pacific, Northern and Black Sea Fleets.
