The agreement between Cathay Pacific Airways and S7 Airlines will allow passengers to get more opportunities to travel to Russia

HONG KONG, June 24 (Itar-Tass) - Cathay Pacific Airways and Russia’s S7 Airlines have agreed to jointly service flights in compliance with the Codeshare Agreement, Xinhua News Agency reported on Monday.

Under the Codeshare Agreement, one company will sell tickets for a flight, which is made by a plane of another company. In this case the flights are marked by both companies. This allows them to emerge on the routes that their planes do not service.

Due to the agreement signed by the partners, passengers can travel by the flights of both companies from Vladivostok and Khabarovsk to Hong Kong, as well as to Hong Kong from St Petersburg via Moscow and then by all routes of Cathay Pacific.

“The agreement will allow our passengers to get more opportunities to travel to Russia,” Cathay Pacific Director of Sales and Marketing Rupert Hogg said.

At the moment the Hong Kong airways makes the direct flight on the Hong Kong - Moscow route three times a week.

Tickets will be started to be sold from July 3.
