ST. PETERSBURG, June 20 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s state-run nuclear concern Rosatom is interested in the construction of the Belene nuclear plant in Bulgaria, Rosatom CEO Sergei Kiriyenko told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

“A litigation is underway, lawyers are working. But we are interested not in being at law but in building a nuclear plant,” he said and added that if the Bulgarian government finally decides to continue the project, Rosatom is always open for talks.

Kiriyenko however did not elaborate whether the Bulgarian side had offered a amicable agreement or not.
