ROME, February 8 (Itar-Tass) – Russian ballet star Svetlana Zakharova will dance Giselle on the stage of Rome’s Opera House on February 9.
The ballet written to the music of Adolf Aden was choreographed by French ballet-master Patrice Bar who combined the Russian and French ballet traditions. He met Zakharova, the Bolshoi prima, last summer.
Zakharova admitted that Giselle was a special ballet for her in which she danced the title role for the first time at the age of seventeen.
