MADRID, January 21 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian handball team won from Brazil , 27-26 (14-14) in Zaragoza on Sunday to qualify for the quarterfinals of the current world handball championship in Spain.

In the quarterfinal on January 23, the Russian players are to meet with a winner of the Slovenia - Egypt match which is to be played on Jan 21.
