"I’ll start planning my visit to the U.S. in the beginning of 2013,” the Georgian prime minister stressed

TBILISI, November 22 (Itar-Tass) — Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said his visit to the United States scheduled for the end of November had been postponed.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Ivanishvili said the trip had been postponed “due to my intensive working schedule. The visit will take place in 2013”.

“My visit to Brussels [on November 12-14] proved that the three-day or four-day absence in Georgia creates many problems. Much should be done. It is necessary to form the team and seriously deal with economic problems. That is why I asked the American side to postpone my visit. The U.S. regarded my request with favour,” the Georgian prime minister stressed.

He said Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panijikidze would make a visit to the U.S. on November 29 for a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
