Earlier, Naftogaz Ukrainy planned to buy 27.5 billion cubic metres of Gazprom’s gas next year

KIEV, November 16 (Itar-Tass) — The Naftogaz Ukrainy state-run company may decrease its import from the Russian gas giant Gazprom to 20 billion cubic metres of gas in 2013, Naftogaz Ukrainy Deputy CEO Vadim Chuprun told reporters on Friday.

While replying to a question about the company’s plans for gas import from Russia in 2013, he stated that this may be about 20 billion cubic metres. In his words, the issue is being analysed. The company carries out relevant calculations.

Earlier, Naftogaz Ukrainy planned to buy 27.5 billion cubic metres of Gazprom’s gas next year, but decreased the forecast to 24 billion cubic metres, Chuprun reaffirmed.

The company deputy CEO confirmed that this year Naftogaz Ukrainy will buy about 27.5 billion cubic metres of Gazprom’s natural gas.
