Theme of Belarusian-Georgian and Russian-Georgian relations was touched upon at the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov

MINSK, October 30 (Itar-Tass) — Belarus will take a decision on recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia’s independence proceeding from its national interests, Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei told reporters on Tuesday.

“We will analyze the situation on the post-Soviet space and on the international scene and will take decisions proceeding from national interests,” he said.

The theme of Belarusian-Georgian and Russian-Georgian relations was touched upon at the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“I cannot say that our position has changed, but the sands are running out,” he said.
