Cross cut down at site where Rasputin was buried

Police have launched an inquiry into the incident

ST. PETERSBURGS, September 25 (Itar-Tass) — The cross on the site of the former burial of Grigory Rasputin in St. Petersburg is cut down. Police have launched an inquiry into the incident.

Some unknown persons cut down the cross in St. Petersburg’s Pushkinsky district. A citizen reported the fact to the district police. Policemen went to the site. An investigation into the incident is underway, a source at the police department for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region said.

The cross was located in the Alexandrovsky Park in the Tsarskoye Selo museum reserve at the site of a church where killed Grigory Rasputin was buried in 1916.
