KHABAROVSK, September 15 (Itar-Tass) — The 10th Festival of Cinema and Theatre “Amur Autumn” is beginning in Blagoveshchensk on Saturday. After the red-carpet event in which famous actors, directors, screenwriters, composers will appear, the festival’s opening ceremony will be held with presenter Dmitry Nagiyev.

On Saturday, the viewers will see the first non-repertory show in the competition program “Skameika” (“The Bench”) with Irina Apeksimova and Gosha Kutsenko starring. The films’ official selection will begin on Sunday.

The competition program includes 13 full-length feature films. Among them – “I’ll be there” directed by Pavel Ruminov that was awarded the Grand Prix at the Kinotavr festival, “In the Fog” by Sergei Loznitsa that was shown at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, “This is What Happens to Me” by Viktor Shamirov.

Among the stage productions the play “Mata Hari: Love and Espionage” with Larisa Dolina and Dmitry Kharatyan starring is of particular interest. The competition program also includes the plays “Intrigue and Love,” “Duck Hunt,” “Dangerous Boys,” “Hard Lesson” and others. The spectators will see on the stage well-known actors Sergei Astakhov, Vladimir Yepifantsev, Viktor Rakov, Irina Lachina.

Film director Vladimir Grammatikov is the chairman of the jury of the film festival this year. The jury of the theatrical competition is headed by actress Lyudmila Chursina.

The festival program also includes evenings with People's Artist of the USSR Ada Rogovtseva, with Honored Artists of Russia Boris Galkin, Karen Avanesyan, Boris Tokarev and Lyudmila Gladunko, People's Artist of Russia Gennady Yukhtin, as well as the jubilee soiree of the Amur Autumn festival.

Meetings with artists, theatre performances will take place in the regional capital, in the cities of Zeya, Svobodny, Skovorodino, Uglegorsk, as well as in Poyarkovo, Talakan and other settlements of the Amur Region.

The festival will run until September 23.
