MOSCOW, August 29 (Itar-Tass) — North Korea has not addressed Russia with a request to take part in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Vladivostok as a guest, a diplomatic source told Itar-Tass on Wednesday commenting publications on this issue in foreign media.

“We have received no requests from North Korea,” the source said. “There are such rules – if a country is not an APEC member-state, the invitation to the forum should be coordinated with all the members of the organization. A positive decision is taken, only when consensus is reached.”
