UNITED NATIONS, August 16 (Itar-Tass) — Russia has offered the Action Group for Syria to meet at the U.N. Security Council, a diplomatic source from the UN headquarters told Tass on Thursday. He said the meeting will be held on Friday.

The Action Group for Syria brings together the permanent members of the UN Security Council and region’s countries.
