Police officer wounded in Dagestan’s car blast

An investigation is underway

MAKHACHKALA, August 14 (Itar-Tass) — A police officer, who heads Dagestan’s Buynaksk temporary detention department, was heavily wounded in a car explosion, the republic’s investigative department told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

“At 08:15 Moscow time on Tuesday an unidentified criminal set off an explosive device planted on the bottom of a Nissan car driven by Ibragim Mamayev,” th source said.

Mamayev was hospitalized with heavy wounds, his legs were torn off in the blast.

An investigation is underway.
