MOSCOW, August 10 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s Investigations Committee will probe into the crash of a Russian Ka-32T helicopter in Turkey, a committee spokesman said on Friday.

“Currently, investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the accident. A procedural decision will be taken after this check,” the spokesman said.

The accident occurred on Thursday in a woodland area in the Mugla province. The Ka-32T helicopter leased by the Turkish authorities was taking part in an operation to suppress forest fires when, due to yet unknown reason, it started losing altitude. It hit a mountain slope and was caught by fire when rolling down to a hard-to-reach gorge. All the crew of five members, including three Russian, was killed in the crash. The helicopter was owned by the Nefteyugansk Unified Aviation Company.
