A criminal case was opened
MOSCOW, August 6 (Itar-Tass) —— An eight-year-old girl who was vacationing with her mother in Russia’s southern Rostov region has gone missing, a spokesman for the Russian Investigations Committee told Itar-Tass on Monday.
According to the spokesman, the incident took place on Sunday on the beach of a recreation camp of the Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute near the settlement of Kalinin. At about 17:00 the girl went to the toilet and never came back. Having failed to find the girl, her mother turned to the police.
A criminal case was opened. An investigation in underway, the spokesman said.
