Police, volunteers searching for little girl in Pyatigorsk

The Cossacks, workers of territorial emergency services and officers of the security agencies joined the search

VOLGOGRAD, July 24 (Itar-Tass) —— The police and volunteers are searching for Anna Prokopenko, 10, who got missing in Pyatigorsk.

The little girl left home on July 23 and did not come back yet, a source in the Pyatigorsk police department told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

“The child looks like to be 9-10 years old, 145-150 centimetres high, with a slim body and fair hair of medium length. She has such special feature as a birthmark near the left eye at the temple. She has an obvious defect of speaking with the r sound,” the source said.

About 300 people are involved in the search for the girl, a source in the Pyatigorsk authorities said. “The staff of a military unit is involved in the search for the child together with the police to mop up the neighbouring territory, a campus and the forest on Mashuk Mount,” the source said.
