MOSCOW, July 7 (Itar-Tass) —— Twenty eight people died because of the torrential rains in the Krasnodar Territory, a source of the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry's regional department told Itar-Tass by telephone.

Seventeen people died in the Krymsk district alone. Two died in Novorossiysk, and nine in the Gelendzhik district, the police source said.
