LOS CABOS, Mexico, June 19 (Itar-Tass) – Russia and Britain should attain a common stance on the problem of settling the ongoing civil conflict in Syria, British Prime Minister David Cameron said here Monday.

As he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Cameron said the two sides obviously had a number of bilateral issues to be discussed.

He recalled that talks on the future of the Iranian nuclear program are underway in Moscow and the aggravating situation in Syria also calls attention, and that is why the two sides should come to consensus on it.

Putin said, on his part that aside from the international agenda relations between Britain and Russia are developing at a fair pace, but still there are bilateral issues that need a special administrative attendance.

He indicated that British-Russian relations stand in need of a further consolidation.

Putin and Cameron met in Los Cabos, a Mexican seaside resort currently hosting a summit conference of the Group of Twenty.
