Putin dismissed some top-ranking interior ministry officials

The president relieved Mikhail Velichko of the duties of first deputy head of the Interior Ministry’s department of records management and work with citizens and organizations

MOSCOW, June 18 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed a number of top-ranking officials of the Russian Interior Ministry, the Kremlin press service reported on Monday.

Thus, the president relieved Mikhail Velichko of the duties of first deputy head of the Interior Ministry’s department of records management and work with citizens and organizations. Putin also dismissed Anatoly Agoshkov, the head of the Ryazan region interior department, Sergei Golovanov, the head of the ministry’s non-departmental security service, Yuri Draguntsov, the head of the ministry’s in-house security department, and Alexander Obukhov, the head of the Irkutsk region interior department.
