MOSCOW, June 10 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s President Vladimir Putin called tennis player Maria Sharapova and congratulated her with the great success – the victory at the Roland Garros tournament, the presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Sunday.

On Saturday, the president sent a telegram to Sharapova, where he highlighted her victories and expressed “admiration with the talent, great skills and outstanding workability.”
