BEIJING, June 6 (Itar-Tass) — Within the framework of his state visit to China, Russian President Vladimir Putin met on Wednesday with Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao.

“I am very glad to meet with you. We did a great job yesterday with President Hu Jintao, signing a lot of documents,” Putin said. “I know how this job is done. We have worked together with you for four years and I know that such meetings are first of all conducted by the governments of the two countries,” the Russian leader stressed.

“A next meeting of the prime ministers of Russia and China is planned for the autumn,” he said, expressing confidence that it will be another step towards the strengthening of strategic partnership and cooperation.
