TSKHINVAL, May 23 (Itar-Tass) — Alla Dzhioyeva, former presidential candidate, has been appointed deputy prime minister of South Ossetia, according to a decree signed by the republic’s President Leonid Tibilov.
Dzhioyeva received a majority of votes in the South Ossetian presidential election in November 2011 but the republic’s Supreme Court annulled the results of the polls due to numerous irregularities.
New elections, which were won by Tibilov, were held in April 2012.
