BANGKOK, May 11 (Itar-Tass) — Helicopter pilots on Friday managed to land a group of military rescuers above the Sukhoi Superjet 100 crash site on Mount Salak in Indonesia. Rescuers are descending using ropes to the plane wreckage, a source in the crisis headquarters at Jakarta Airport reported.
The advancement of another group of rescuers up the slopes of Mount Salak has been suspended because of a natural barrier – a river. The advance team of 10 people are yet to go 600 metres to the Russian airliner’s crash site.
