MOSCOW, May 3 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin believes Russian troops stationed in Moldova’s breakaway Dniester region don’t pose any threat to Moldova.

In his microblog on Twitter, he quoted President Nicolae Timofti as saying “the presence of Russian troops in the Dniester region is a great danger!”

“We, for our part, don’t agree with that statement,” he wrote. Rogozin, who oversees Russia’s defense industry, visited Moldova and the breakaway region in mid-April.
