MOSCOW, March 22 (Itar-Tass) —— The Vologda police have detained a convict, who escaped from a penitentiary number 17 in the Vologda Region.

The escapee put up active resistance and was injured slightly in the body side, spokesman for the Russian Interior Ministry Valery Gribakin said on Thursday.
