Some 5,000 voters to vote early in Tuva

About 5,000 people, who live and work in remote districts of the republic, or about three percent of Tuva voters are participating in the early voting

GORNO-ALTAISK, February 17 (Itar-Tass) —— About 5,000 people, who live and work in remote districts of the republic, or about three percent of Tuva voters, a total number of which makes 167,288 people, are participating in the early voting for the Russian presidential elections in Tuva. The early voting was launched on Friday in two hard-to-reach districts Erzi and Piy-Khem, a source in the republican election committee told Itar-Tass on Friday.

Highland villages, cattle herds, weather forecasting stations, reindeer breeding camps, border checkpoints exist in most municipal entities at district level in the republic.

All types of transport: helicopters, cross-country vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, horses are used for the early voting. Riding reindeers and deer teams are used in the Todzhi district, where the indigenous small-populated minority – Todzhi Tuva natives live.
