DAMASCUS, February 7 (Itar-Tass) —— Syria is interested in further work of the League of Arab States (LAS) observation mission and an increased number of monitors.

“Syria has informed LAS of its interest in further work of the League's mission in an enlarged composition,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after negotiations with the Syrian leaders on Tuesday.
