President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree appointing Ivan Molotkov as a Russian ambassador to Libya.
MOSCOW, January 30 (Itar-Tass) — President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree appointing Ivan Molotkov as a Russian ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Libya.
A decree to this effect was placed on the web-portal on Monday.
In the beginning of the Libyan crisis Russian ambassador Vladimir Chamov was recalled from Tripoli. His functions were carried out by charge d’affairs Maxim Maksimov.
