MOSCOW, January 25 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev disclaimed the information that previous summer he was about to grant a presidential pardon to Mikhail Khodorkovsky, but somebody stopped him.

At a meeting with students of the Journalism Department of the Moscow State University on Wednesday he added that he would like “political background be removed from the Khodorkovsky case.”
