MOSCOW, December 9 (Itar-Tass) —— Hollywood actor and producer Tom Cruise presented his new Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol spy movie in Moscow on Thursday night and handed out over a hundred autographs in downtown Pushkin cinema hall. The movie will be released in Russia on December 14.
In the morning Cruise toured the reconstructed Bolshoi Theater and his entourage said he was impressed with its splendor.
Cruise arrived to the Pushkin cinema hall in a 2.5-million US dollar car which he drives in the movie and which was delivered to Moscow from Los Angeles. He was welcomed with applause when he stepped on the red carpet of the cinema hall.
For half an hour Cruise and Paula Patton who stars as Jane Carter in the movie handed out autographs and had pictures taken with their admirers. They were later joined by actor Simon Pegg and film director Brad Bird.
Vladimir Mashkov, who plays a Russian secret agent in the movie, did not turn up for the first night show.
In the film a terrorist bombing destroys the Kremlin while Cruise starring as Impossible Mission Force agent Ethan Hunt is carrying out an undercover operation in Moscow to expose the bombing and the attack on the IMF.
