MOSCOW, November 24 (Itar-Tass) — A man suspected of being engaged in drug peddling, has committed suicide at Moscow’s police station by stabbing a screwdriver into his chest, the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry’s Main Department told Tass on Thursday.

A 36-year-old man, on drugs for a long time and suspected of committing a crime connected with drug trafficking, was brought to a district police station in south-eastern Moscow at about 2:20 pm on Thursday, it said.

During interrogation in a police office in the presence of eye witnesses, he behaved inadequately and having grabbed a screwdriver from a shelf, stabbed himself in the chest, police officers said.

Policemen immediately called the ambulance, and the man was rushed to hospital. However, he died of the wound. An investigation brigade works at the site.
