“The Islamic community unites millions of people in Russia", - the congratulatory message says

MOSCOW, November 6 (Itar-Tass) —— President Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Muslims of Russia on the Kurban Bayram holiday on Sunday, the Kremlin reports.

“This ancient holiday brings the believers back to the spiritual basics of Islam and cultivates respect for high moral and humanist ideals of kindness, charity and justice, which are shared by all the world religions. These timeless values must become a moral guideline for the younger generation that is due to contribute to the development of this state and society in the near future,” the congratulatory message runs.

“The Islamic community unites millions of people in Russia. Their religious leaders give much attention to the strengthening of inter-ethnic and inter-religious accord and promote the preservation of cultural diversity of this country,” the message says.
