CANNES, November 4 (Itar-Tass) —— The G20 states, among them Russia, approved a statement on the suppression of corruption at the Cannes summit on Friday.

The statement affirmed large progress made by G20 states in the anti-corruption measures since the previous summit held in Seoul in 2010.

Russia was named as one of the countries with the most impressive anti-corruption achievements.

The G20 welcomed the Russian decision to join the OECD anti-corruption convention.

It also pledged further suppression of money laundering and financing of terrorism.
