Russian plane to collect tourists hurt in Turkey road accident

Now the Russians are in medium gravity condition but that the condition of a two-year-old girl had deteriorated.

ANKARA, October 17 (Itar-Tass) — A plane of the Russian Bio-Medical Agency (FMBA) will collect the tourists injured in the October 12 road accident in Turkey, Russian consul general in Antalya Alexander Tolstopyatenko told Itar-Tass on Monday.

"It is planned to evacuate four victims and their two relatives. The plane is expected to fly to Antalya at 12:00 to 13:00, Moscow time. It is an An-74 which belongs to the agency. It will carry a brigade of five specialists," the consul general said.

He added that the Russians are in medium gravity condition but that the condition of a two-year-old girl had deteriorated.

"According to preliminary information, the plane will fly the injured persons to Novosibirsk.

The diplomat reminded that two Russians who had sustained light injuries in the road accident had flown back to the homeland on a regular flight on Saturday.

The road accident involving a Pegas Touristik bus, occurred on October 12. Eighteen Russian tourists, including five children, were on their way to the Antalya airport to fly to Novosibirsk, Russia. An articulated truck rammed the bus near the town of Manavgat and the bus overturned. Twelve people were not hurt, but another six were rushed to hospitals.
