Old woman dead at Baikal Customs after ten hours in queue

A pre-trial inquest into the incident was opened
IRKUTSK, September 26 (Itar-Tass) —— A 74- year-old woman from Russia died at a Baikal Customs check point after waiting for more than ten hours at the Customs check point to cross into China, the East Siberian Investigative Department for transport told Itar-Tass on Monday.
The tragic death took place overnight to September 18. Preliminary reports said that a group of tourists, which included the woman from the town of Borzya of the Baikal region, had been waiting for more than ten hours in a queue, pending luggage check. The woman died directly at the customs point.
A pre-trial inquest into the incident was opened.
