MAKHACHKALA, September 1 (Itar-Tass) —— An officer of the local branch of the Russian Federal Security Service Department for Dagestan was killed in a car blast in Dagestan’s city of Khasavyurt. His mother got injuries and was hospitalized, a representative of the Investigation Department of the Investigation Committee for Dagestan told ITAR-TASS.

According to him, “an unidentified person set off a homemade explosive device attached to the bottom of a Toyota-Prada car, as a result of which a FSB officer, who was staying in the car, died and his mother with different injuries was hospitalized.

An investigation team is working at the site of the incident.
