Kiev must realize that Russia cannot be defeated on battlefield — Kremlin

According to Dmitry Peskov, "the main thing for Russia is to achieve its goals"

MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. It is time for the Ukrainian authorities to realize that they will not be able to achieve victory over Russia on the battlefield, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"It is time for them [the Kiev authorities] to realize that they will not be able to win on the battlefield. The sooner they realize this, the sooner the conditions for a peaceful settlement will be created," the spokesman said.

The Kremlin spokesman commented on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's statements that compromise was unacceptable for Ukraine and that he hoped for positive changes on the battlefield for Kiev by the end of the year. "President Zelensky and the Kiev regime are desperately promising military successes on the battlefield. They promise their donors. Their previous promises have not been fulfilled. The donors are worried and are beginning to speak up," Peskov said. "Accordingly, Zelensky has nothing to do but raise the level of his eloquence in order to convince them that these successes will be," he added.

According to the Kremlin spokesman, "the main thing for Russia is to achieve its goals." "In the absence of conditions for settlement by political and diplomatic means, we continue the special military operation," he concluded.
