The government compound Abu Rummaneh in Syria’s capital Damascus and the presidential palace were not hit by the US-led coalition’s air and missile strike in the small hours of Saturday. At 04:00 local time (coincides with Moscow time) the United States, Britain and France began missile strikes against Syria after saying they were doing so in retaliation for an alleged chemical weapons attack in Douma. According to some sources, ten or so targets were attacked. There has been no confirmation from the Syrian news agency SANA.
The Pentagon said the operation lasted for about 50 minutes.
