MOSCOW, April 10. /TASS/. The bilateral relations between Russia and Iran are at the top level, Iranian Foreign Minister’s top aide in special political affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari said receiving on Tuesday Kremlin's special envoy on Syria peace process Alexander Lavrentiev in Tehran.

"Our region [Middle East] is in the process of constant change," the news agency IRNA quoted Ansari. "The current conditions dictate the necessity for coordinating Russian and Iranian efforts."

According to IRNA, Lavrentiev pointed out daily changes in Syria, both positive and worrying. Since the recent meeting of Russian and Iranian leaders in Ankara new issues have surfaced that need to be taken into account.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Russian envoy discussed the current developments in Syria with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Admiral Ali Shamkhani.
